WF11899A, also known as FR901379, is a naturally occurring secondary metabolite isolated from fermentation broth of                          Coleophoma empetri F-11899 [T. Iwamoto, et al, the Journal of Antibiotics, 1084-1091 (1994)]. This compound belongs to                          the echinocandin type of cyclic lipopeptide, and is used as a key intermediate for synthesis of Micafungin Sodium                          [CAS # 208538-73-2], etc. Pneumocandin A0 is another fermentation product reported as intermediate for synthesis of                          Micafungin Sodium.
