Cyclosporine (also known as Cyclosporin A or Ciclosporin A) is a nonpolar cyclic oligopeptide with immunosuppressant activity, produced by Tolypocladium inflatum.
Physico-Chemical Properties:
White crystals, mp: 148-152 DC, [a]D20: - 244 (c = 0.6 in chloroform); Soluble in methanol, ethanol, acetone, ethyl acetate, chloroform, diethyl ether; slightly soluble in hexane, petroleum ether; insoluble in water.
